We partnered with the founder of Cobweb to build the company's iOS app, a digital lockbox for your phone when you want to focus on activities IRL.
Our goal was to build and launch an app that would enable users to stake money that would be forfeited and donated if they used their phone during a session.

Process
Ideating with technical strategy in mind
As a technical parter, we advised on product strategy for an initial MVP and beta rollout, with long-term features and production distribution in mind. After building a vertical slice for a user to customize and conduct a session, we determined which feature set was most important for an MVP, including payment, a FTUE, and reminders.
Iteration with a quick feedback loop
We developed the initial MVP of the app in a rapid cycle with 1-week sprints, deploying on device consistently for the founder to test and give feedback on what was and wasn't working. As soon as we had an MVP available, we launched a beta version of the app to a dozen beta testers whose requests we triaged into a set of bugfixes and polish for app launch.
Technical nitty gritty
The Cobweb app was built in Swift and SwiftUI leveraging modern SDKs such as Stripe and RevenueCat for payment and subscriptions and Firebase for authentication, backend functions, and storage. Cobweb's counterpart web app (for accessing user settings and adding payment) was built in the latest version of AngularJS.
